About us

Vision

MOCA New York is a non-profit organization. Celebrating the convergence of creativity and technology, our museum stands as a vibrant hub for fashion, design, digital art, and technology.
We support young artists, giving them opportunities to express themselves and reach a global audience, with the help of our Shanghai and Venice branches.

At the core of our vision lies the concept of a “Museum Without Walls,” transcending traditional confines to embrace dynamic venues. While anchored in a landmarked Gothic Revival rowhouse in the Upper West Side of Manhattan, we foster inclusivity and accessibility by committing to digital innovation. Art should know no bounds, with our digital-first content enriching the cultural landscape for all.

Founder of ALanguageBank
Since the pop art movement of Warhol and Liechtenstein, Zan has been a collector, seeking out unique talent with vibrant and resonating work. With MOCA New York, Zan has spared no effort in his support of the arts and rising stars in the industry. He actively promotes the exchange of culture and ideas, expanding the boundaries of contemporary art, and persistently supports the concept “People’s Aesthetic,” allowing art to enter people’s lives.

He, himself, started in the art scene as a photographer. New to the shores of New York City in the late-1970s, Zan took to the streets with a manual Nikon and $68 in his pocket. His work consisted of portraiture for ambitious actors and budding artists. Though his means were humble in his early years, his career skyrocketed when he matched his photography skills with marketing.
